I was wondering about the comics of ATLA are they worth reading? I have some of them downloaded to my computer I just have gotten around to reading it. I know some fans didn't like them that much.

The Promise is decent. The Search... well, there is a bit of rant on that in it's own little thread that I started. It (The Search) cause quite a stir amongst the fandom when Part I came out.

I'm still holding out and going to buy Part II and III, but that's also because I love the art work and Azula. 

Read it. And please start with The Promise first since that's the one that came out before The Search.

I saw your little rant in the other thread. XD The Search doesn't look promising to me because of part 1's events. I guess I'll give them a try. I started to read the beginning of the promise, but I wasn't happy with Zuko so I stopped reading it. I'm worried about what will happen to them.

Well, it's one of those technically you should read since it's canon and is the transition to how Korra's world was set up.

They're worth reading. They give you insight to what happened before Korra's time. The Promise tells you basically how the beginnings of Republic City came to be. As for the Search, if you ever wondered where the hell Zuko's mother is (as well as what happens with Zuko and Azula), then YES, read it!

So yesterday I finished part one of the Promise. I started part 2, but couldn't finish because I was reading the comics in a bookstore. XD

So far I think it's well meh? I really not sure how I feel where things are going. Does things get better in part 2? Wait how many parts are there?

Not really. The Promise and The Search basically are just the bridge parts to connecting ATLA to LOK without their being a series about it.

Some it's all the "boring" in-between stuff that is out on comic form. A lot of parts were not necessary in Part 2, but understandable as to why they were put in. Then there is the short comic that you could only get during Free Comic Book Day that also sort of ties in to The Promise and The Search, but not really.

Yeah boring is a good way to describe this. It's just a bunch of chit chat and things I don't care about. I kind of wish The Promise and and The Search were made as TV movies instead.

Then it's be a series or movie mostly chit-chatting and not as much action to go with that chit-chatting.

Well I feel like they would develop things a bit better.
